Horse riding 350km across the hauntingly beautiful Namib Desert is something else altogether. I was completely blown away by the experience. Spending 10 days away from any real civilisation in vast, endless landscapes, cleared the mind like nothing else can. You become completely encapsulated by the present, allowing your mind to break away from the outside world – something so rarely achieved these days.

From Sand to Sea
The adventure starts with a trip to the famous and iconic sand dunes of Sossusvlei – an incredible experience in itself. You then set off for 8 days of riding across the hauntingly beautiful Namib Desert, exploring some areas that are only ever accessed by these horse safaris, until you reach the Skeleton Coast at Swakopmund. The sense of achievement you get as you come over the final sand dunes and see the sea is unbelievable.
